Travel:
- Travel light and use a soft bag, hard suitcases are not good on boats.
- Make sure you have your passport and flight ticket.
- You can also buy your Euros here at a better rate than the banks in
the U.K. Do not buy duty free on the plane,
these goods are much cheaper here.
Where to meet in Gibraltar (for other destinations contact cathy@trafalgarsailing.co.uk):
- If you fly into Gibraltar airport you can see your yacht from
the runway, it is that close. Jump in a taxi and ask for Bianca’s
Bistro at Marina Bay, a two minute ride to our meeting point. Or walk to the marina, (directions below).
- We meet at 2pm under the palm tree at Biancas Bistro
on Monday (photo right). If you have spare time you may like to go
on a rock tour with your taxi driver or lunch in one of the many
waterfront restaurants.
- If you are flying into Malaga, it is approximately 1 hour 30
minutes drive to Gibraltar on the toll E7 motorway. We can arrange
for airport pick up or send details of public transport.
|
 |
Directions to meeting point:
- From the Gibraltar airport or the Spanish border, walk towards the Rock. Walk over the runway. I am not joking.
- Go West (right) at the sundial roundabout.(photo right).
- Follow road past school and sport centre and you will see BMW show room at the entrance of Marina Bay. Biancas is on the waterfront.
