Great Sailing Area!

300 days of sunshine a year and consistent winds generated between mountain ranges in Spain and Africa, the Strait creates a fantastic tidal training area.

Gibraltar and Spain have modern marinas with vibrant restaurants. You can also anchor in a natural bay or windswept beach.

Wildlife

Your cruising area is rich in marine life, with dolphins, whales, sun fish and turtles.

Barely a day goes by without some exciting dolphins.

Meanwhile on land there are the African camels and famous Gibraltar Apes.

We are a family run sailing school and have been running RYA Competent crew, Day Skipper and Yachtmaster sailing courses in Gibraltar since 1995. We provide personal care and attention. Don’t assume that bigger means better, we have always aimed for quality not quantity, and many repeat clients and word of mouth recommendations have ensured our success over the years. We prepared the Mapfre Volvo Ocean Race Team to pass the RYA Yachtmaster Offshore and Yachtmaster Ocean exams. You don’t get a better recommendation than that. New fast Bavaria 37 cruiser yacht, fully equipped with spinnaker etc and spacious inside.
We guarantee you will sail to a variety of marinas, not just out of Gibraltar. We include quality marinas like Sotogrande in Spain and Marina Smir in Africa. We also include the marina and fuel costs on charters as well as the RYA courses.
We will help you reach your best potential and increase your confidence and ability. If you then want to get more experience we frequently post crewing opportunities and jobs worldwide on our Facebook page.
Thanks to the Mediterranean climate we offer RYA courses all year. We have never had to cancel an RYA course due to the weather.

Good, healthy food and drinks onboard: fruit, cereals, toast for break fast and rolls with cold meats, cheese or and salad for lunch, biscuits, nuts and olives for snacks and a glass of wine at the end of the day. We include the food and drinks onboard RYA charters too and can cater for special diets.
Gibraltar is safe, English speaking and easy to get to with direct flights with Easyjet, BA and Monarch from London, Bristol and Manchester. Gibraltar airport 15 min walk to your yacht. Malaga is 1 hour 30 min transfer.
RYA shore based courses run in our classroom with comfortable accommodation at the villa in Sotogrande Spain with swimming pool, gym, gardens and private study.
Extra nights onboard for just £50 per night at the weekend so you can enjoy an extra day in Gibraltar.
